The questions buyers ask first

It can be, but profitability is never guaranteed — it depends on hashprice, network difficulty, coin price, hardware efficiency and, above all, your electricity cost. As a rule of thumb in 2026, mining tends to work with power under about $0.10/kWh and current-generation hardware under roughly 15–20 J/TH. The sweet spot for home operators is $0.04–0.06/kWh. Always plan with best / base / worst-case scenarios.

Modern ASIC miners typically draw between 1,500 and 3,500 watts continuously, running 24/7. Electricity is the single largest ongoing cost — usually 75–85% of total operating spend. That's why your per-kWh rate matters more than almost any other factor in mining economics.

For a new high-efficiency ASIC in 2026, a realistic payback window is roughly 12–24 months at low electricity prices with Bitcoin at healthy levels. At higher power rates (€0.20/kWh+) payback can stretch to several years or never arrive. Profitability is dynamic. It moves with hashprice, difficulty, coin price, electricity cost, hardware efficiency and downtime. Newer, more efficient machines stay viable longer; older units get squeezed first as difficulty rises. Serious planning works with scenarios and assumes difficulty keeps climbing.

Understanding the hardware

An ASIC (Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) miner is a computer built to do one job: run a single mining algorithm as fast and efficiently as possible. A Bitcoin ASIC runs SHA-256, computing trillions of hashes per second to compete for block rewards. Because the chips are purpose-built, ASICs are far more efficient than GPUs for the coins they support.

At minimum: a compatible ASIC miner, a mining pool account, and a wallet address for payouts. Practically you also need adequate power (most modern miners need a 240V circuit), cooling and airflow, a stable internet connection, and a plan for noise and heat. If you host with us, you only provide onboarding data (wallet, pool, worker) and we handle power, cooling and monitoring.

Home: power, noise & cooling

Home mining gives you full control but means dealing with 80+ dB noise, heat, 240V wiring and your own maintenance. Hosting puts your miner in a professional facility with industrial power, cooling, security and repairs handled for you. Most home operators find hosting cheaper once they factor in electricity, cooling and downtime. You keep full ownership of the hardware either way.

Air-cooled ASIC miners are loud — typically 75–85 dB, similar to a vacuum cleaner running constantly. This is the number-one surprise for home miners and makes living spaces impractical without a dedicated room, garage or shed. Hydro (water-cooled) miners are much quieter, and hosting removes the noise issue entirely.

Most high-efficiency ASICs require a 240V circuit, not a standard 120V household outlet. A 240V supply is also more efficient and draws fewer amps, reducing breaker-tripping risk. A common safe setup is a 240V/20A circuit with a double-pole breaker, 12 AWG wire and a NEMA 6-20R outlet. Always have a licensed electrician verify your install before running continuous high load.

Air-cooled miners need strong, continuous airflow and a way to exhaust hot air out of the space. Hydro (water-cooled) miners use a closed coolant loop with radiators or a CDU and dry cooler — they run cooler and far quieter at higher density. It depends on the model and power draw. What matters is the correct plug type for your region, properly sized (gauge) cables for continuous load, and secure circuit protection. Under-rated cabling is a fire risk at 24/7 high wattage — when in doubt, consult an electrician.

From Doorstep To First Hashrate

Shipping & DDP

DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) means the seller handles export, import clearance, duties and taxes, delivering the miner to your door with nothing extra to pay on arrival. It removes customs uncertainty and surprise fees — you know your landed cost in advance. We offer DDP to many destinations; availability is confirmed in your quote.

We ship to the US, Europe, the UAE and most countries worldwide, depending on device, stock, carrier and local import requirements. Any restrictions are clarified in your quote before you order.

In-stock items are dispatched promptly after payment is received. Transit time depends on the carrier and destination, and you receive tracking once shipped. For pre-orders, the delivery window in your quote applies.

Once shipped, you receive tracking information or a dispatch update. For pre-orders or incoming batches, you get status updates according to the delivery window stated in your quote.

Setup & technical

Create a wallet to receive payouts (a hardware wallet like Ledger/Trezor for security, or a software/exchange wallet), then choose a mining pool and create a worker. In the miner's dashboard under Pool Settings, enter the pool URL, your worker/username and password, and ideally configure two backup pools for failover. We offer setup assistance for pool/worker configuration.

Open the miner's network settings, switch IP allocation from DHCP to Static, and enter an IP, gateway and subnet on your network. A static IP makes each miner easy to identify and keeps the connection stable. For many units at once, manufacturer tools (e.g. APMinerTool) can batch-assign static IPs across an IP range.

No — stability matters far more than speed. Mining uses very little bandwidth; what counts is a reliable connection with few interruptions so your miner stays connected to the pool.

Standard process: (1) select model and quantity, define target coin/algorithm; (2) confirm hosting availability and terms; (3) submit onboarding data — wallet and pool/worker; (4) go-live with a functional test (hashrate/temps) and monitoring access; (5) ongoing operation with maintenance and replacement per your package.
