The Antminer L9 produces 17 GH/s of dedicated Scrypt hashrate at 3,570W wall draw for 0.21 J/MH (210 J/GH) energy efficiency. Roughly 42 percent more efficient per gigahash.
The L9 mines Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Bellscoin (BELLS), Junkcoin (JKC), Luckycoin (LKY), and Pepecoin (PEP) simultaneously through Scrypt merged mining.
Brand new L9 units ship factory sealed from MillionMiner with Bitmain 180-day manufacturer warranty included. PSU and Antwire cable included in the box. Free DDP delivery handles all customs & duties.
The Antminer L9 delivers 17 GH/s of Scrypt hashrate at its rated operating mode and 3,570W wall draw. Bitmain's official specification rates the unit at 17 GH/s plus or minus 5 percent, meaning real world output typically runs between 16.15 and 17.85 GH/s depending on ambient temperature, power quality, and firmware version. A lower binned variant at 16 GH/s and 3,360W is also in distribution at slightly lower acquisition cost. Most units shipped from MillionMiner are the full 17 GH/s tier unless specifically marked otherwise on the order.
The L9 draws 3,570W continuous at the wall and delivers 0.21 J/MH (equivalent to 210 J/GH) energy efficiency. That places it roughly 42 percent more efficient per gigahash than the previous Antminer L7 at 360 J/GH, and competitive with most other current generation Scrypt ASICs. Power consumption tolerance runs plus or minus 5 percent of the 3,570W rating, so expect typical draw between 3,390 and 3,750 watts under normal operating conditions. Efficiency holds steady across the operating range as long as the unit stays within its rated thermal envelope.
Any Scrypt algorithm cryptocurrency. Litecoin (LTC) and Dogecoin (DOGE) are the primary targets because they have the largest market capitalization and merged mining infrastructure. Bellscoin (BELLS), Junkcoin (JKC), Luckycoin (LKY), and Pepecoin (PEP) are additional merged Scrypt chains supported through compatible pools. The L9 mines all of these simultaneously through merged mining without splitting hashrate, so you collect rewards from every supported chain at no additional cost. For pure Litecoin or pure Dogecoin mining, configure your pool to focus on a single chain. For maximum revenue, use a pool that supports the full merged stack.
The L9 is a meaningful upgrade over the L7 across every dimension. L7: 9.5 GH/s at 3,425W and 360 J/GH efficiency. L9: 17 GH/s at 3,570W and 210 J/GH efficiency. The L9 produces 79 percent more hashrate at only 4 percent more power draw, working out to 42 percent better efficiency per gigahash. For operators currently running L7 fleets, the L9 doubles your effective hashrate capacity within roughly the same electrical and thermal infrastructure budget. The L7 remains operational for cheap power scenarios where capital cost outweighs efficiency, but new deployments should default to the L9 unless acquisition pricing on used L7 hardware is unusually attractive.
Bitdeer launched the SEALMINER DL1 Air in March 2026 as the first credible second source competitor to Bitmain in the Scrypt market. SEALMINER DL1 Air: 25 GH/s at 3,725W and 149 J/GH (Normal mode). Antminer L9: 17 GH/s at 3,570W and 210 J/GH. The DL1 Air produces 47 percent more hashrate at 4 percent more power draw, working out to roughly 30 percent better efficiency per gigahash than the L9. For operators committed to Bitmain's proven manufacturer support, firmware ecosystem, and warranty infrastructure, the L9 remains the default choice. For operators willing to deploy newer second source hardware, the SEALMINER DL1 Air offers a meaningful efficiency advantage. Both products are excellent choices and many fleets deploy both for vendor diversification.
The Antminer L9 requires 220 to 277V AC input. At 220V the unit draws approximately 16.2 amps continuously. At 240V the draw drops to roughly 14.9 amps. Standard 110V residential power cannot deliver the L9's full output because the unit explicitly requires 220V minimum input voltage. North American buyers need a 220V or 240V dedicated commercial circuit, while European, Asian, and most international buyers can run the L9 directly off their standard 230V residential power. The PSU is included with the miner. A C20-P13 Antwire cable ships in the box, but a C19 power cord rated for at least 16 amps must be sourced locally to connect the PSU to your wall socket.
75 dB is standard industrial ASIC noise, comparable to a vacuum cleaner running continuously or a busy restaurant interior. The L9 uses four high speed fans for air cooling, which generate the noise that hydro and immersion cooled hardware avoid. Deploy in dedicated mining rooms, garages with sound isolation, basements, dedicated mining sheds, or professional hosting facilities. The L9 is unsuitable for residential bedrooms, shared living spaces, home offices, or any environment where humans spend extended time without ear protection. For home deployment with noise constraints, consider hosting through MillionMiner instead of running the unit directly in your living space.
Any pool supporting Scrypt Stratum protocol with merged mining. LitecoinPool is the longest established dedicated Scrypt pool with full merged mining support. F2Pool offers broad multi algorithm coverage with strong global server geography. AntPool provides Bitmain's own mining pool with native Antminer integration and competitive fee structures. ViaBTC is another major option with good uptime history. For maximum merged mining revenue, verify that your chosen pool supports the full set of merged coins (LTC, DOGE, BELLS, JKC, LKY, PEP). Smaller chains may not be supported by every pool. Pool fees range from 0.5 to 2 percent across major providers.
The L9 launched in August 2024 and currently represents the established Scrypt mining standard for professional operations. Bitdeer's SEALMINER DL1 Air at 149 J/GH (released March 2026) offers better efficiency but the L9 still has 2 to 3 years of competitive operation ahead at standard electricity rates. On cheap industrial power below $0.05 per kWh, the competitive window extends meaningfully further. Each new Scrypt hardware generation will narrow margins, but the L9's position as Bitmain's flagship and the dominant installed base means firmware support, parts availability, and resale value will remain strong throughout its operational life. Plan for 3 to 5 years of useful service depending on your power rate and Litecoin and Dogecoin price trajectory.
