MicroBT Whatsminer M60S Plus 212TH Efficient Air Cooled SHA-256 Bitcoin Miner

Mid shelf in MicroBT's M60 air cooled range. Not the cheapest (that is the base M60 at 172 TH/s), not the fastest (that is the M60S++ at 226 TH/s), but priced somewhere between. The M60S+ at 212 TH/s and 3,600W exists for buyers who want more hashrate than the base without paying top bin premium.

Previous generation hardware now. The M70 series pushed MicroBT's air cooled lineup to 244 TH/s at 12.9 J/TH. The M60S+ at 17.0 J/TH is roughly 32 percent less efficient per terahash. That efficiency gap translates to real money: about $1.50 more daily electricity per unit compared to the M70S+. Over a year, $548 extra per unit in power costs.

So why buy it? Capital efficiency. If M60S+ units cost significantly less per unit than M70 series hardware, deploying more M60S+ machines per dollar of capital can produce more total Bitcoin despite higher per unit electricity. The math works when acquisition cost savings exceed cumulative electricity penalties over your planned deployment horizon.
