MicroBT Whatsminer M63S Plus Plus 478TH High Hashrate Hydro Cooled Bitcoin Miner

The MicroBT Whatsminer M63S++ produces 478 TH/s at 10,000W in a 4U hydro cooled rack chassis. Top bin in the M63S series within MicroBT's M60 generation. Universal 100 to 240V input.

4U rack mount format at 483 x 663 x 86mm. Standard 19 inch rack compatible. 10 units per 42U rack at 4.78 PH/s and 100 kW. Water or water glycol closed loop cooling.

Universal voltage on a 4U hydro rack miner is a specific advantage. The newer M73 hydro series (M70 generation) requires 380 to 480V three phase. Facilities with rack infrastructure and water cooling but only single phase power can deploy the M63S++ where the M73 cannot.

The M63S+ (424 TH/s, 7,208W) and base M63 (334 TH/s, 6,646W) share the same 4U chassis at lower bins. Mix bins in the same rack and cooling loop.

As M60 generation, the M63S++ is below the M73 series (M70 generation) in efficiency but offers the universal voltage advantage the newer generation dropped.

Bitcoin mining with liquid cooling offers several operational advantages over air cooled alternatives: more consistent chip temperatures extend component life, elimination of fan noise reduces acoustic impact, and higher thermal headroom allows sustained peak performance without throttling. The infrastructure investment in cooling systems (water lines, pumps, heat exchangers or immersion tanks) is offset by longer hardware lifespan and higher uptime percentages across the fleet.

For operators evaluating total cost of ownership across a 3 to 5 year deployment horizon, the reduced maintenance, lower failure rates, and sustained hashrate consistency of liquid cooled hardware can outperform air cooled alternatives despite higher initial infrastructure cost.
