The S23 hydro family now includes three options for operators. The base S23 Hydro runs at 580 TH/s and 9.5 J/TH in a standard chassis. The S23e Hyd 2U steps up to 865 TH/s at 10 J/TH in a 2U rack mount form factor. The S23 Hyd 3U reaches 1,160 TH/s at 9.5 J/TH and 11,020W in the larger 3U chassis. The S23e Hyd 2U produces 49 percent more hashrate than the base S23 Hydro while drawing only 57 percent more power, and it matches the 3U variant's efficiency class at a meaningfully lower acquisition cost per unit.

Rack density is where the S23e Hyd 2U differentiates. The 509 x 481 x 87 mm 2U chassis fits up to 21 units in a standard 42U rack compared to 14 units for 3U hardware. For data center operations where rack space carries real infrastructure cost, that translates to roughly 18.2 PH/s per 42U rack at approximately 182 kW of sustained draw. Five unit pilot deployments produce 4.33 PH/s of combined SHA-256 hashrate for operators testing the platform before scaling.

Liquid cooling supports antifreeze, pure water, and deionized water as coolant media. Operators with existing S19 Hydro or S21 Hydro infrastructure can integrate S23e Hyd 2U units into the same plumbing loops with appropriate temperature and flow management. The near silent 50 dB operating noise is a direct consequence of the hydro cooling: no high RPM fans means the unit runs at library volume levels despite processing 8,650W of thermal output.
