The Bitdeer SealMiner A2 Pro Hydro is the highest output model in the SealMiner A2 family, producing 500 TH/s of SHA 256 hashrate at 7,450W through water cooling. Efficiency lands at 14.9 J/TH, which placed it among the most efficient hydro miners at the time of its March 2025 release.

Bitdeer designs and manufactures its own ASIC chips under the SEAL program. The A2 Pro Hydro runs on SEAL01 silicon, the company's first generation custom chip. What makes Bitdeer different from most ASIC vendors is that they also operate large scale mining farms. Their hardware reflects operational experience rather than purely theoretical specifications. Thermal management, maintenance access, and rack compatibility are designed around real data center constraints.

The 2U form factor at 482 x 665 x 88mm allows dense rack stacking. A standard 42U rack holds 21 units, producing 10.5 PH/s per rack at roughly 156 kW. That density is competitive with comparable Bitmain and MicroBT hydro models in the same power class.

Power input is 380 to 480V three phase, standard for commercial mining infrastructure. Operating range is 5 to 40 degrees Celsius at 10 to 90 percent humidity. Noise stays at 50 dB thanks to water cooling, making it data center friendly in shared facility environments. Ethernet connectivity for pool configuration and monitoring.

Compared to the newer A3 Pro Hydro (660 TH/s at 12.5 J/TH on SEAL02), the A2 Pro Hydro represents the previous generation. The A3 delivers 32 percent more hashrate at better efficiency. However, the A2 typically carries a lower acquisition price. For fleet operators, the math depends on electricity cost. At low power rates, the cheaper hardware with worse efficiency can still yield better ROI than paying full price for the latest generation. Run the numbers at your specific rate before deciding.
