SEAL04 is Bitdeer's fourth generation proprietary SEAL series Bitcoin mining chip, manufactured using advanced process nodes through TSMC partnership. Generational improvements: SEAL01 in original A1 series, SEAL02 in A2 family at 14.9 to 16.5 J/TH, SEAL03 in A3 family at improving efficiency, SEAL04 in A4 family at 9.45 to 10.9 J/TH. The A4 launch marks the successful fulfillment of Bitdeer's previously announced multi year SEALMINER technology roadmap.
The A4 Ultra Hydro is the first production Bitcoin miner to operate below 10 J/TH efficiency at scale. Competitive context: Bitmain S23 Hydro at 9.5 J/TH (just above), S21 XP+ Hyd at approximately 12 J/TH, MicroBT M70 family at 18 to 19 J/TH. At 100 unit fleet scale, the efficiency advantage versus 12 J/TH alternatives represents approximately 21 percent reduction in continuous power draw at equivalent hashrate output, translating to substantial annual electricity savings at industrial rates.

Same dimensional standard as the Bitdeer A2 Pro Hydro, A3 Hydro, A3 Pro Hydro, and A4 Pro Hydro, allowing operators with existing Bitdeer hydro infrastructure to drop A4 Ultra Hydro units into existing rack slots without facility reconfiguration.

380 to 480V three phase industrial AC input with up to 97 percent PSU efficiency. Frequency range typically 47 to 63 Hz. Not available in residential or most light commercial settings. Purpose built for professional mining facilities with three phase power distribution. Approximately 12 to 15 amps per phase at 480V continuous draw depending on PSU efficiency conditions.
Liquid to chip hydro cooling. The A4 Ultra Hydro requires external facility hydro infrastructure: coolant distribution unit (CDU), dry cooler or chiller, heat exchanger, pumps, and plumbing connecting miner cold plates to facility cooling loops. Unlike the Bitmain L11 HU6 with integrated all in one cooling, deployment of the A4 Ultra Hydro requires existing hydro capacity or facility CapEx to build it. Hydro cooling enables sustained operation across Bitdeer's 20 to 55 degrees Celsius ambient range without throttling.

Bitdeer's official A4 series specification covers 20 to 55 degrees Celsius ambient operating range for the hydro models. The 20 degree minimum reflects hydro cooling's need for coolant to stay above condensation dew points. Maximum 55 degrees Celsius ambient is higher than typical SHA-256 ASICs because hydro cooling handles peak chip thermal load independently of ambient air. MillionMiner's product page lists 5 to 45 degrees Celsius which appears to deviate from Bitdeer's official specification, verify with MillionMiner before cold or hot climate deployment planning.
