Bitmain Antminer KS3 7.3TH KHeavyHash ASIC Miner for Professional Kaspa Mining

Bitmain's first generation Kaspa ASIC. The KS3 at 7.3 TH/s and 3,188W launched Bitmain's presence in the KHeavyHash mining market before the KS5 (20 TH/s) and KS5 PRO (21 TH/s) pushed the boundaries further. Multiple KS3 variants exist at different hashrate bins (7.3, 8.3, and 9.4 TH/s), all sharing similar power consumption.

This 7.3 TH/s model is the base bin. At 3,188W, efficiency sits at about 0.437 J/GH. The KS5 at 20 TH/s and 3,000W runs 0.150 J/GH, nearly three times more efficient. The KS3 is previous generation competing purely on discounted acquisition cost.

Universal 100 to 240V. 75 dB industrial. Daily electricity at $0.07 per kWh: $5.36. Monthly: $161. Bitmain Antminer firmware. Ethernet. Standard KHeavyHash Stratum for all Kaspa pools.

For fleet operators already running Bitmain Kaspa hardware, the KS3 fills rack slots at lower capital. The KS5 is the clear upgrade on efficiency, but inventory constraints and pricing premiums sometimes make the KS3 the practical choice. Check current distributor pricing on both models before defaulting to the older generation.

The Kaspa ASIC market includes IceRiver (KS0 through KS7), Bitmain (KS3 and KS5 series), Goldshell (KA Box through E-KA1M), DragonBall (KS6 Pro/Pro+), and iBeLink (BM-KS Max). Five manufacturers creating intense competition and rapid difficulty growth.

The KS3 family (7.3, 8.3, 9.4 TH/s) represents Bitmain exploring a new algorithm market before committing full R&D resources. The KS5 series that followed shows what Bitmain delivers when they optimize. First gen products from any manufacturer are typically superseded quickly, and the KS3 to KS5 transition is a textbook example of that pattern.
