The Bitmain Antminer S21e Hyd (288 TH/s) is the entry point into the S21e Hyd platform, producing 288 TH/s at 4,896W while maintaining the same 17.0 J/TH efficiency as the 310 TH/s model. The difference is purely chip binning: lower graded chips produce less hashrate but at identical efficiency per terahash.

For fleet operators, the 288 TH/s variant is the volume play. Lower per unit acquisition cost means more machines for the same hardware budget. Since both models draw proportional power for their hashrate (same J/TH), the only economic difference is acquisition price versus total terahash. If you can fit more 288 TH/s units than 310 TH/s units for the same spend, total fleet hashrate may actually be higher.
