The Bitmain Antminer X9 produces 1 MH/s (1,000 KH/s) of RandomX hashrate for mining Monero (XMR) and other RandomX coins including Zephyr. Bitmain designed the X9 around custom RISC V cores built specifically for RandomX workloads. RandomX was originally engineered to resist ASIC optimization, which makes the X9 a notable technical achievement in ASIC design.

To put 1 MH/s in context: a Ryzen 9 7950X, one of the strongest consumer CPUs for RandomX mining, produces roughly 8 to 10 KH/s. The X9 delivers 1,000 KH/s from a single machine. One unit consolidates the hashrate of approximately 100 to 125 desktop CPUs along with all of their associated power draw, rack space, cooling infrastructure, and maintenance.
