IceRiver RX0 260GH Compact Desktop SHA512256d Miner for Radiant (RXD)

One hundred watts. That is what the IceRiver RX0 draws while mining Radiant at 260 GH/s. For context, a bright incandescent light bulb uses about the same power. At 40 dB, the RX0 is quieter than most laptop fans. This is mining hardware that disappears into a room the way a phone charger does.

Radiant (RXD) uses SHA 512/256 proof of work, a double hashing approach that combines the security properties of both SHA-512 and SHA-256. The blockchain targets scalability and cross chain interoperability with a maximum supply of 21 billion tokens. Smaller community than Bitcoin or Litecoin, fewer exchange listings, but an active development effort building out the ecosystem.

Daily electricity at $0.07 per kWh: seventeen cents. Not seventeen dollars. Seventeen cents. Annual electricity cost: roughly $61. This makes the RX0 one of the cheapest mining devices to operate on an ongoing basis regardless of what happens to RXD token price. The cost to keep it running is so low that shutting it off saves almost nothing.
