MicroBT Whatsminer M31S Plus 80TH Air Cooled SHA-256 Bitcoin Miner at 70 dB

MicroBT M31S+ at 80 TH/s. M30 generation from the era before M50, M60, and M70 series. At 3,360W and 70 dB on universal 100 to 240V, the M31S+ runs 5 dB below standard industrial. At roughly 42.0 J/TH, it uses about 3.3 times more electricity per terahash than the current M70S+.

70 dB is perceptibly quieter than 75 dB. About 40 percent less loud. In a garage or basement, 70 dB is manageable without ear protection. Multiple units still compound.

The M31S+ was the workhorse of MicroBT mining fleets during the M30 generation. Deep legacy hardware. Available at extreme discount for operators on very cheap power who need to fill infrastructure with anything that mines BTC.
