MicroBT Whatsminer M50 114TH Base Model Air Cooled SHA-256 Bitcoin Miner

Bottom of the M50 generation. 114 TH/s at 3,306W. The M50 is where MicroBT M50 era begins: base model, lowest hashrate, lowest per unit cost. Three generations behind the M70 series. At roughly 29.0 J/TH, the M50 burns about 2.2 times more electricity per terahash than the current M70S+.

The M50 lineup: M50 (114 TH/s, this model), M50S (128 TH/s), M50S+ (144 TH/s), M50S++ (160 TH/s). Same generation, improving bins. The base M50 exists because manufacturing yields produce chips that do not qualify for higher tiers. Fleet buyers target the base for lowest capital entry.

Daily electricity at $0.07 per kWh: $5.55. Monthly: $167. 75 dB standard industrial. 220 to 240V only, no universal voltage. MicroBT Whatsminer firmware. Ethernet.

For the same $167 monthly electricity, the M60S++ at 226 TH/s produces roughly double the Bitcoin. The M50 competes only when available at steep discount relative to M60 series hardware. Near zero acquisition makes the math work on cheap power. Standard pricing does not.

125 x 225 x 425mm at 12.8 kg. 100-240V input. Ethernet. 5 - 45 °C. MicroBT firmware. Daily electricity $5.55 at $0.07 per kWh. Monthly: $166. Compare against Bitcoin revenue at 114 TH/s.

Purchase the Whatsminer M50 when the math works: 114 TH/s of Bitcoin mining revenue minus $5.55 daily electricity times deployment period exceeds hardware cost. verify profitability with today's Bitcoin price and difficulty at your electricity rate.
