MicroBT Whatsminer M60S 186TH Standard Air Cooled SHA-256 Bitcoin Miner

Second rung in the M60 air cooled ladder. The M60S at 186 TH/s climbs 14 TH/s above the base M60 (172 TH/s) on the same 3,400W class platform. Better chips, better bins, incrementally more Bitcoin per day for incrementally more per unit cost.

The M60 air tier covers four bins: M60 (172 TH/s), M60S (186 TH/s), M60S+ (212 TH/s), and M60S++ (226 TH/s). The full range spans 54 TH/s from bottom to top at similar power draw. The M60S is the step above base that demonstrates the principle: each bin grades higher performing chips from the same manufacturing run.

3,441W on universal 100 to 240V. At 220V draws about 15.6 amps. 75 dB industrial. Daily electricity at $0.07 per kWh: $5.78. Monthly: $173. MicroBT Whatsminer firmware for pool configuration and fleet monitoring.

The M60S competes head to head with the Bitmain T21 (190 TH/s, 3,610W). Nearly identical hashrate. MicroBT uses 169W less power. That saves about $0.28 per day, $103 per year per unit. Small per unit, meaningful across a fleet. Firmware preference and distributor relationships often determine which manufacturer wins the purchase order.

11.9 kg at 430 x 155 x 226mm. MicroBT's compact chassis. Ethernet. 5 to 45 degrees Celsius. The M60 generation is previous gen below the M70 series (244 TH/s, 12.9 J/TH). Available at discount pricing that can make fleet volume economics work on cheap electricity.

The M60S serves operators who need the step above base M60 performance without jumping to the S+ or S++ premium. In fleet purchasing, the M60S often hits a pricing sweet spot where distributors move mid bin inventory more aggressively than top bins. Check your distributor weekly. M60S pricing fluctuates with market demand.
