In rated mode the M79S delivers 1.35 PH/s (1,350 TH/s) of SHA-256 hashrate at 20,000W, which works out to 14.81 J/TH, with MicroBT's ±3% hashrate and ±5% power tolerance. Standard mode settles around 930 to 1,040 TH/s, and Low Power Mode delivers roughly 1,037 TH/s near 14,000W at 13.5 J/TH. It is one of only two production Bitcoin miners that break a petahash in a single unit.

Hydro cooled. The M79S runs on a closed external water loop with a CDU, pumps and a heat exchanger, not an immersion tank. MicroBT's specification and every distributor list it as hydro, so if a spec sheet shows immersion, that is an error to correct.

Around 50 dB at the chassis, because hydro cooling removes the high-speed fans that make air-cooled petahash hardware roar. That is close to normal conversation level. The audible noise in a facility comes from the external cooling plant, the pumps and dry coolers, which sites place away from the miners.
