NerdMiner V3 Educational USB Powered Bitcoin Solo Mining Display Device

A Bitcoin miner that draws less power than an LED indicator light. The NerdMiner V3 at roughly 1 MH/s and 1W is not mining hardware in any productive sense. It is an educational device, a conversation starter, and a display piece for Bitcoin enthusiasts. One megahash against 600+ exahashes of network. The odds of finding a block are less than winning the lottery jackpot repeatedly.

But that is not the point. The NerdMiner V3 exists to demonstrate how Bitcoin mining works at the physical level. It connects to WiFi, points at a solo mining pool, and actually hashes SHA 256 blocks. Real mining. Real protocol. Zero practical output. The display shows hashrate, temperature, and block height in real time.

The NerdMiner project is community driven open source hardware. PCB designs and firmware are publicly available. The V3 uses an ESP32 microcontroller with a small display. It is not an ASIC. It is a general purpose chip doing SHA 256 in software at roughly one millionth the speed of even the smallest dedicated mining ASIC.
